I studied painting at the San Francisco Art Institute in the 60's, with Elmer Bischoff and Jim Weeks, so I was schooled in the "Bay Area Figurative" style of painting.
During this period, I also spent time studying with Shunryu Susuki Roshi in San
Francisco and at the then new Zen retreat center, Tassajara.
For many years, I lived in San Francisco and taught art at The Urban School of San Francisco, an alternative arts oriented high school.
I've lived in Mexico, in San Miguel de Allende, for more than 20 years. Here I paint, practice meditation at our meditation center, garden and sing in a local chorus.
I've been in several art shows and had three or four one-woman shows. All of my work is available to purchase. Contact me if you want to comment on my paintings or if you would like to purchase one of them.
